The sole authorized online gambling platform in British Columbia, Canada, PlayNow.com, is increasing its weekly expenditure caps to attract a wider player base and contend with unlicensed websites.
PlayNow.com patrons can now establish weekly deposit limits reaching C$100,000 (approximately £58,000/€69,000/$75,000), a substantial increase from the previous cap of C$9,999.
Gamblers can also maintain up to C$250,000 in their accounts, a significant rise from the prior limit of C$9,999.
The British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC), the entity overseeing PlayNow.com, asserts that the heightened limits aim to enhance the site’s attractiveness to individuals who are already engaging in gambling activities with comparable sums on unauthorized platforms.
