Kordal Appoints New Director of Business Strategy

The Kordal Group has revealed the selection of Sonia Calabant as Director of Business Strategy and Operational Projects, the most recent in a string of high-level appointments for the organization.

Calabant will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Gonzaga Igoro and will be in charge of supervising the execution of Kordal’s key business strategy initiatives. She will lead local strategy and project efficiency, transformation and implementation endeavors, and will participate in Kordal’s marketing, customer relationship management and product functions to support the group’s broader growth plans.

Calabant is a seasoned professional who previously served as Executive Director of Corporate Services at CTTI, a Spanish state-owned enterprise. Before joining Kordal, Calabant spent almost 15 years at Cirsa, a Spanish gambling operator, holding various positions including Director of Customer Intelligence, Efficiency and Productivity. Earlier in her career, she also worked at General Electric and La Sirena, and had a period at CTTI.

“This appointment highlights Kordal’s renewed commitment to business strategy excellence and its resolve to drive growth and efficiency across all parts of the organization,” said Kordal.

“Sonia’s leadership and experience will be crucial to the company’s continued success.”

## Kordal’s Recent Leadership Changes

Karabant is the most recent addition to Kordal’s executive team, following a series of new hires.

Earlier this month, Iguero was named as Kordal’s new chief executive. He will guide Kordal’s expansion plans across its main operating regions.

Before joining Kordal, Iguero served as the head of the Health Transport Group. Before that, he spent a decade at Prosegu Cash, holding top positions including Managing Director for Europe and South America.

Meanwhile, Kordal also appointed Luis Villalva as its new chief financial officer this week. He replaces Oscar Fernandez de Llano, who recently stepped down for personal reasons.

Villalva will lead Kordal’s financial strategy and assist the company in strengthening its relationships with investors.

Before joining Kordal, he served as the chief financial officer and a member of the Executive Committee of the Deoleo Group. Villalva also spent over 17 years at PwC, working in auditing, transaction services, and business recovery services.

Kordal also welcomed Michal Elimelech to its board of directors in June.

These management changes come after Kordal’s online report of a reduced net loss and significant growth in the first quarter.

In the three months ending March 31, Kordal saw year-over-year growth in all of its operating regions. Each regional operation saw double-digit revenue growth.

Total revenue increased by 54%.

There was a nine percent rise from the previous year.
