Crown Resorts Appoints New Chief Legal Officer and Board Member

Amidst significant organizational changes, Crown Resorts has revealed two pivotal leadership additions. Craig Durham will assume the position of Group Corporate Secretary and Chief Legal Officer, while Anne Ward joins the board as an independent non-executive member.

Durham, a seasoned executive with extensive experience in publicly traded companies, legal affairs, and corporate governance, is slated to formally commence his role on October 4th, 2021, subject to regulatory clearances. In the interim, Alan McGregor will maintain his responsibilities as acting Corporate Secretary.

Based in Melbourne, Ward brings a wealth of knowledge to the organization. She currently presides over the boards of publicly listed entities Redbubble and MNF Group and holds a position on the RMIT University Council. Her proficiency encompasses financial services, technology, healthcare, government, education, and tourism, further bolstering the board’s competencies.

These appointments are regarded as critical moves in Crown’s ongoing transformation initiatives as the company endeavors to navigate its present difficulties and reestablish its stability.

She possesses legal and fine arts qualifications from the University of Melbourne and belongs to the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

“Crown has been woven into the tapestry of Melbourne, the city I reside in, for an extended period, and I am humbled to join the Board and contribute to the upcoming chapter of the company’s journey,” Ms. Ward stated. “I anticipate collaborating with the Board to propel constructive transformation and am dedicated to assisting management in executing their reformation plan and generating worth for stakeholders.”
