Live! Louisiana: A $250 Million Transformation Coming to Bossier City

Cordish Enterprises has unveiled their ambitious plan to the Louisiana Gaming Control Board, outlining a complete overhaul of the Isle of Capri Casino Hotel in Bossier City.

Prepare for a massive entertainment complex! The goal is to completely renovate the current property into a cutting-edge casino resort, aptly titled “Live! Louisiana.” They anticipate welcoming eager patrons sometime in 2025.

A key figure at Cordish, Joe Weinberg, highlighted that “Live! Louisiana” will be revolutionary, providing an unmatched encounter in gaming, dining, entertainment, and hospitality. He believes this endeavor will not only generate numerous employment opportunities but also infuse millions into the regional economy.

With demolition commencing in February, the path is being cleared for the “Live! Louisiana” metamorphosis. Greg Guida, co-CEO of Foundation Gaming, shared his excitement for this upcoming stage.

This large-scale project represents a substantial investment surpassing $250 million. What awaits visitors? Imagine an opulent 400+ room hotel, an expansive gaming area exceeding 47,000 square feet, over a thousand slot machines and electronic table games, and more than 30 live-action table games. And that’s not even touching upon the other exciting features being planned!

The Louisiana Gaming Control Board is enthusiastic about collaborating with Cordish on this captivating endeavor. They are certain that by working closely with both the Foundation and Cordish, they can expedite the realization of this project and establish a gaming and leisure destination that will instill pride in all Louisianans,” remarked Ronnie Johns, Chairman of the Louisiana Gaming Control Board.

Cordish intends to substitute the current riverboat casino with a completely new land-based casino and is developing a variety of enticing new dining and entertainment choices, featuring a high-end steakhouse and an Asian-inspired establishment.
