Aristocrat Achieves Record Profits Driven by North American Gaming Success

A top gaming enterprise, Aristocrat, announced impressive financial results for the fiscal year concluding September 30, 2022. Their adjusted earnings after taxes and excluding amortization of acquired non-tangible assets (NPATA) hit a substantial AUD 1.09 billion (USD 730 million), a notable rise of 27% from the prior year.

This accomplishment was driven by a surge in their North American gaming activities and robust worldwide sales, even with obstacles like supply chain bottlenecks and some economic instability in major markets. The firm experienced an 18% boost in total revenue, reaching AUD 5.57 billion.

A primary catalyst for this expansion was the widespread appeal of their gaming devices. Aristocrat expanded the quantity of its high-end Class III and Class II gaming units installed in North America by a remarkable 14%, totaling 31,595. Significantly, the average daily earnings generated per machine also witnessed a 9% uptick, highlighting the strong desire for their offerings.

Beyond conventional casinos, Aristocrat broadened its presence in the rapidly developing video lottery terminal sector in Canada, Oregon, and Illinois, resulting in a 66% surge in direct sales within North America. They also made calculated moves by entering the historical horse racing sector in Kentucky and the lottery market in New York. These advancements position Aristocrat favorably for sustained expansion in the years to come.

A leading provider of slot machines in Australia and New Zealand continues to be Aristocrat, due in large part to the sustained success of its MarsX platform and game selection. The company is also taking steps to broaden its international footprint – recently, Aristocrat purchased Roxor, a UK-based online gaming firm.
